Pro Tip
Spend 1 Ninja point to buy the "Springboard Jump" ninja skill. This makes the fight trivial.
Step-by-Step Strategy:
- Use Ninja Style - Equip dual ninja swords and switch to ninja stance
- Double Jump Over Boss - Use the springboard jump to leap over Shingen
- Heavy Attack Behind - Press △ in the air to land behind him with a critical hit
- Repeat - Keep spamming this technique to deplete his Ki
Why This Works: This strategy completely bypasses his guard. Human bosses frequently block attacks, but jumping over them leaves you positioned behind them for critical damage. Shingen usually can't hit you while you're airborne.
Yokai Form - Moderate
Phase Change Warning: This is a large Yokai boss with extremely aggressive moves. Has only 1 HP bar but fights furiously.
Core Strategy:
- Dodge Forward-Left - Circle behind the boss to avoid attacks
- Hit and Run - Land 1-2 melee combos from behind, throw shuriken between attacks to maintain Ki
- Ninjutsu Spam - When Ki is full, back away and unload all ninjutsu + magic
- Repeat - Keep high Ki for emergency dodging
Phase 2 (Second Stage):
Ignition Mode: Shingen starts burning and frequently launches large fireballs.
Counter: Stay on the opposite side of the arena and continue using ninjutsu + magic from safe distance. Wait for this phase to pass before engaging again.
Preparation Tips:
- Complete all collectibles in previous areas for stat boosts
- Collect all Kodama for 8+ Elixirs on respawn
